Lizards That Look Like a Dragon
One of the coolest-looking lizards is the dragon lizard. It has a long tail and a drab gray body with brownish scales. The legs are clubbed and it has no tail. This creature has been around since prehistoric times and is one of the biggest of all reptiles. The lizard family contains over thirty different species and there are many to consider, such as: funnel-jawed lizards, rock lizards, certain desert species, and wolf-tooth lizards.
Some people are not aware that the Burmese dragon lizard looks like a dragon. The scientific name is Psittaculaburmensis and it is from the Psittacidae order. It has a stout body and is very well-built with robust muscles. It can grow up to twenty-eight inches and weigh about one and a half pounds.
Its color varies from silver to a rich blue-green. It also possesses red eyes. It can grow up to one and a half feet in length and have a tail that is between two and three feet long. In addition to the appearance there is another attribute that is notable about this creature.
